Ditch the Tie; Forget the Tools—How to Honor Father’s Day with Lasting Impact

To continue our theme for the month of June, “Every Partner Counts,” we’d like to highlight a couple of great organizations that are honoring Dads, this Father’s Day in very special way. Dad has plenty of ties. Forget the tools you were going to buy Dad, he’s already got plenty-and he doesn’t want to do home repair on his special day anyways. Please consider supporting these organizations as an alternative to a traditional Father’s Day gift this year.
- Riders is an award-winning social enterprise. They are working to make sure all health workers in Africa have access to reliable transportation so they can reach
the most isolated people with regular and predictable health care. This Father's Day, honor a Dad with a donation that makes sure Riders' mechanics have the tools they need to keep health workers' vehicles on the road delivering care reliably and predictably in Africa.
- World Bicycle Relief is dedicated to providing access to independence and livelihood through the power of bicycles. Compared to walking, bicycles represent an enormous leap in productivity
and access to healthcare, education and economic development opportunities. The simple, sustainable nature of bicycles empowers individuals, their families and their communities. Donate today, in honor of someone special and help World Bicycle Relief reach their goal of $50,000 to give 100 field mechanics and their families a new beginning. Your contribution can provide a field mechanic with tools or a bicycle; or help train a field mechanic, or a class of field mechanics!
Sure Dad’s proud of you, but imagine how proud he’ll be when he opens his special gift this year.
