RUN WITH TEAM EMC
Join us to raise awareness on the hundreds of thousands of girls and women around the world who die each year from complications in pregnancy and childbirth.
“"In maternal health, distance makes a huge difference, and running is a perfect way to explain that."
– Christy Turlington Burns, Founder, Every Mother Counts
Five kilometers is less than the average distance a pregnant woman in the developing world must travel to receive the basic health care she needs to deliver her baby. Imagine having to walk that distance when you’re 9 months pregnant, in labor, and have no access to transportation. If the woman needs more comprehensive obstetric care, that distance increases considerably.
We run so others don’t have to.
We have spots available, and will provide the t-shirt and training tips in exchange for your commitment to raise awareness and funds. Or if you're already running a race and want to run on behalf of EMC, let us know too!
Every Mother Counts is an advocacy and mobilization campaign to increase education and support for maternal mortality reduction globally. Every Mother Counts seeks to engage new audiences to better understand the challenges and the solutions while encouraging them to take action to improve the lives of girls and women worldwide.
EMC IS CURRENTLY RUNNING THE FOLLOWING RACES:
Photo Finish 5K (Rochester, NY)– October 6th
Philadelphia Half - November 18th

Hello, I live in a city named Ciudad del Carmen in state of Campeche, in Mexico, and I have been following EMC for a while through facebook, I wonder how can I collaborate with EMC, Next year I am going to turn 42 years old and my challenge and personnal gift is 42 years=42 K (a marathon); I would like to run on behalf of EMC. Just let me know, what can be done.
