Last week, the United Nations hosted the launch of Save the Children’s 14th annual report on the State of the World’s Mothers, which ranks conditions in 186 countries that contribute to the health, wellbeing and status of mothers and babies. The report depicts the best and worst places in the world to be a mother, but this year’s report had a different, yet connected focus – the best and worst places to be a newborn.
Dr. Vanessa Kerry has been on our minds lately because she’s a new mom doing really important work in the world. As we focus on Mother’s Day and the power of our thoughts to affect big changes, Vanessa’s inspiration and dedication to bringing a big idea to fruition makes her one of the mothers we’re celebrating.
