We envision a world where pregnancy and childbirth are positive, transformational experiences. A world where everyone can access quality maternity care that centers mothers, and no one suffers or dies of preventable complications. A world where every mother truly counts.

Justice
We work to build a foundation of justice in maternal health by actively addressing the systemic barriers that hinder access to high-quality, respectful, and culturally rooted care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. We believe all people should have access to the full range of options for healthcare.
Resolve
Maternal deaths persist even while the majority of deaths are preventable. We believe we can solve this problem, though it may take a lifetime. We show up with passion and perseverance; we are frustrated but undaunted.
Respect
Respect is fundamental to our work. We respect our partners as leaders and our teammates as collaborators. We respect women’s autonomy to make decisions for themselves and their bodies, and we are committed to centering these individuals and their rights and choices in our work.

We stand as allies with our partners – community-led organizations, providers, advocates, and mothers and families everywhere – and are proud to support their work as true leaders in maternal health. We believe that our partners know the needs of their communities best, and we are proud to collaborate and amplify their voices and solutions.
